PEOPLE STOPPED NAMING THEIR DAUGHTERS 'HILLARY' AFTER BILL CLINTON WAS ELECTED
“Hillary” was, once upon a time, a popular name. Until 1993 – the year after Bill Clinton took office. According to the Gawker website, using data culled from the Social Security website, the name “Hillary” was among the top 300 girl baby names from 1980 to 1993. After Bill Clinton took office in 1993, the name dropped to 566th most popular on the list, getting lower and lower each successive year, hitting a low of 981 in 2006.
* Plus, a lot of the earlier kids already named Hillary started going by their middle names.
* There have also been fewer Monica’s, Paula’s, and Gennifer’s.
* Get ready to stop naming your sons “Donald”.
* Don’t worry about “Bernie” becoming unpopular though. That already happened after Bernie Madoff.
* Okay, this is interesting, but if you want to throw some shade at Hillary Clinton – believe me – you don’t have to try this hard.
* You know the name Ted probably is less popular here now although maybe not in his home country of Canada.
* It’s true for celebrities too. I bet there are fewer Lindsay’s around now after the Lindsay Lohan outbursts.
* But the biggest damage to names is done by the evil dictator types. I mean when was the last time someone named a kid Adolph?
* PHONE TOPIC: Did your parents name you after someone in particular? Someone famous?
