OIL COMPANY GIVES EVERY EMPLOYEE $100,000 XMAS BONUS

Hilcorp Energy, one of the largest privately held oil and natural gas exploration companies in the United States, announced that it would give all 1,381 employees a year-end bonus of $100,000 after what the company called a positive year in growth. Jeffery Hildebrand, the 56-year-old billionaire owner, will pay out more than $100 million in total and reportedly uses these bonuses to motivate his workforce. Five years ago, Hilcorp gave its employees two options for a bonus: $50,000 towards a car or $35,000 in cash. Hilcorp was named on the 2015 “Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For” list for the third year in a row.
* Imagine if you just quit the company in November.
* Even better – imagine if you just replaced the guy who quit in November.
* Motivate the workforce? I’ll say. I feel like I want to do a better job for this guy and I don’t even work there.
* Hildebrand was also named the “Number One Executive Other Company Heads Sort of Hate.”
* This is how ALL the 1% should behave.
* This could be the first time an entire company calls in sick the day after payday.
* Some people just sound rich and Jeffrey Hildebrand is one of them.
* Now this is going to be one hell of an office party.
