MAN SNEAKS INTO CARPOOL LANE WITH CUTOUT OF DOS EQUIS MAN
You know how people try to cheat the carpool lane by putting a dummy in the passenger seat? On Monday, a motorcycle trooper near Fife, Washington, pulled over a driver who was attempting to use the carpool lane by sticking a cardboard cutout in the passenger seat. It wasn’t just any face, it was a lifesize cutout that of Jonathan Goldsmith, the actor who plays “The Most Interesting Man in the World” in Dos Equis ads. He even put the seatbelt on the cutout. The trooper give him a $124 ticket for violating High Occupancy Vehicle lane laws. The driver, who has not been identified by name, did make a half-hearted attempt to go through with the ruse, telling the officer, “He’s my best friend. He just sits here and doesn’t talk.”
* So, that would make the Dos Equis Guy not the “Most Interesting Man In The World”, but the “Most Intriguing Man In The World”.
* Now, that driver has an interesting story to tell. Not the Most Interesting story, but interesting nonetheless.
* I’m just glad the cutout didn’t have an open container.
* This is a pretty busy time of year for the Dos Equis guy: It’s Spring Break.
* I like those ads: “He once had an orgy during a Victoria’s Secret fashion show.”
