MAN IN PAJAMAS ROBS CONVENIENCE STORE
A man robbed a Phoenix, Arizona, convenience store in his pajamas. (* And how that convenience store got into his pajamas, I’ll never know.) Officers said the suspect was wearing pajama pants when he walked into the Circle K on April 20 just after 4:30 a.m. He selected an item and went to the counter. That’s when he demanded all the money from the register before he took off.
* Can’t we legislate a dress code for robbers?
* Maybe it was Casual Thursday.
* If they catch him, he needs to plead, “Ambien!”
* Being in pajamas, I’m sure he was on his way to Walmart.
* Smart. It’s a good first step to the sleep-walking defense.
* It was 4 a.m. Why get dressed if you’re going to be back in bed by 5?
* If he likes wearing pajamas maybe he’ll like his orange jumpsuit when they catch him.
* You know what would be weird? Let’s say he was sleepwalking. He’ll wake up in bed the next morning and wonder where all the money and convenience store stuff came from.
* You could see this coming. First we stop dressing up to fly on airplanes and go to restaurants. Now we don’t even select the right attire for our crimes.
