MAN ATTACKED WITH HIGH HEEL OVER CAB
A 23-year-old man who hailed a cab early on New Year’s Day in Manhattan was attacked by a couple who wanted the same cab. The Westchester man flagged down a cab in the Chelsea section at around 4:40 a.m. on January 1st and he got into a dispute with Krista Zuniga, 24, and Edwin Sanchez, 33, over the taxi. Sanchez allegedly punched the victim in the face and head and Zuniga repeatedly hit him with her high heel shoe, cutting his head. Sanchez then put the victim in a chokehold, causing the man to lose consciousness. The high heel attack left the victim hospitalized and with 14 staples to his head. The attackers were arrested and charged with assault.
* You’ve heard of Uber cab. This was Shoe-ber cab.
* 14 staples in his head? Did she attack him with a shoe or a Swingline?
* Hmm. It’s not road rage, exactly … Pedestrian rage?
* New Year, same ol’ New Yorkers.
* Sanchez? Don’t tell Trump!
* 4:40 a.m. and you’re stranded in New York City? I could see how you’d you have to put up some kind of fight.
* It’s New York City – not for the Faint of Heart.
* Sounds like they’d also been assaulting some alcoholic beverages.
* Ooo, she took off her shoe in a New York taxi cab? Yikes! Did they have to amputate her foot?
