HUNTER SHOOTS SELF WITH CROSSBOW, DIES
A bow hunter in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, accidentally shot himself with his own crossbow. The misfired arrow somehow struck the victim’s upper arm, hitting an artery and causing the man to bleed out before anyone could reach him. 53-year-old Richard Billetdeaux was part of a four-person hunting party that had spread out to different parts of state game lands on Saturday. When his fellow hunters found Billetdeaux, he had no pulse.
* The man was part of a 4-person hunting party … no wait … make that a 3-person hunting party.
* And not a very fun party.
* Well, no lions were killed, so that’s something.
* Good luck trying to figure out how he managed to do this.
* Maybe it ricocheted off something and got him going the other way … maybe.
* “Now let me show you the trick where I shoot the crossbow back over my shoulder …”
* Perhaps a bear, deer, and several squirrels working together?
* I’ll bet Castle could prove it was a murder.
* It’s not that unusual. The same thing almost happened one time to Robin Hood.
