HIPSTER SANTA

If you were to ask, “Where can I find a hipster Santa this Christmas?” the answer would be Portland, Oregon. For the second year in a row, the Pioneer Place Mall has a hipster Santa. He’s tattooed and pierced, and has a man bun. He wears jeans and a sweater. He sits on a PDX carpet chair. Hipster Santa says he gets around town on his bike. Hipster Santa appears at the Pioneer Place Mall Thursday evenings from now until December 22.
* Hipster Santa’s lived at the North Pole before the North Pole wasn’t cool.
* He’ll fill your Christmas list, but he does it ironically.
* On Christmas Eve, leave a can of Pabst on the mantle.
* Portland is rapidly solidifying its hold on Wacky City of the Year.
* And that includes the towns in Florida.
* See, in Florida the wackiness is spread statewide. Portland is concentrated wackiness.
* They’ve got to get Hipster Santa on that Portlandia show asap.
* No wait, maybe he’s too hip to go on television.
