FRENCH BUBBLE LASTS FOR OVER A YEAR
You know how bubbles tend to pop after a few seconds? French physicists at the University of Lille have figured out a way to extend the life of bubbles. They got one single bubble to last for 465 days. Researchers formed bubbles with a high concentration of glycerol, a compound commonly used in a host of foods and medicines, which was highly effective in keeping the bubbles from popping. The scientific reason is that glycerol has a strong affinity with water and is known to absorb water from air. The absorption of water compensates for evaporation, while the presence of the particles in the fluid prevents drainage of water from the bubble shell, both of which fight bubble rupture.
* I knew that.
* This is why France leads the world in technology.
* It lasted longer than that stupid NFT bubble.
* Speaking of physics, in what universe is this a good way for a physicist to earn his salary?
* The Chinese, of course, have already stolen the technology and are said to have produced a bubble bath that will last until 2035.
