FLIGHT TURNS AROUND AFTER FOUR HOURS
Southwest Airlines wasn’t the only airline fiasco over the holidays. Jetstar Airways of Australia had to turn a plane around more than four hours after departure. The flight from Melbourne to Bali on Tuesday had already been delayed by five hours before it took off. Then, four hours into the six-hour flight, the plane had to turn around because the airline had switched out the plane to a larger Boeing 787 so it could take more passengers, but the plane swap was not approved by Indonesian regulators, who control flights to Bali. The plane was not allowed to land in Bali. No worries, though – Jetstar offered all the passengers vouchers.
* I’d want a voucher and 8 hours at a tanning salon for all the beach time I missed out on.
* More passengers = more money to spend on the Bali economy, but you didn’t say “Mother May I,” so see ya later, chumps. Way to go, Indonesia!
* Indonesia is the country that recently outlawed sex outside of marriage, so the people are a little crabby.
* The passengers should be able to fully straighten out their legs by Thursday.
