1. They don’t shy away from tough conversations.
2. They don’t keep score of each other’s good and bad deeds.
3. They don’t hold grudges.
4. They don’t call each other names.
5. They don’t snoop.
6. They don’t lie to each other.
7. They don’t treat their partner like an opponent.
8. They don’t take each other for granted.

* These are psychobabble things. How about The Real-Life Things Happy Couples Never Do:
– They never hang wallpaper together. Surefire divorce.
– They never order pineapple on a pizza.
– They never share a vacation home with the other person’s family.
* They know that Father’s Day is a day for dad to spend time off with the kids, and Mother’s Day is a day for dad to spend time off with the kids.
– And they never split a dessert. Always order two.
