DUI SUSPECT WEARING BREATHALYZER UNDERWEAR

In Port St. Lucie, Florida, police stopped a suspected drunk driver around 3 a.m. on April 12. A Dodge pickup driven by Daryle Campbell, 54, was traveling in a “reckless driving pattern,” according to the police report. Campbell’s eyes were slightly bloodshot, his pupils were dilated and he looked “very jittery.” He wore no shoes or pants, but he was wearing underwear that had the word ‘Breathalyzer’ printed on the side, and ‘Blow here’ printed near the crotch. In Campbell’s truck, investigators found a few items, including several condoms and binoculars. Campbell was arrested on two DUI related charges.
* Also for felony creepiness.
* How do you get to this point at 3 a.m. and still think the night is not over?
* I’m confused – why would he have a Breathalyzer in his underpants? Oh, wait…
* And that’s just the underwear you want to be wearing in jail.
* Question: Was he wearing the underwear in anticipation of a DUI stop?
* Did someone get him drunk, slap the underwear on him, set him behind the wheel of the truck and hand him the keys? A good lawyer could make that case.
