DELTA PILOT, FLIGHT ATTENDANT FIGHT IN THE AISLE

Delta Air Lines is apologizing after an argument between a pilot and a flight attendant delayed a flight from New York to Portland, Maine. The confrontation occurred Monday before the Delta Connection flight left LaGuardia Airport. The pilot called the flight attendant a derogatory name after the two argued in the aisle. One witness said the pilot hurled insults that were “racist, inconsiderate and unprofessional.” The flight was delayed while both crew members were replaced before the plane took off. The plane left the gate two hours late and spent another hour taxiing before takeoff for the one-hour, 45-minute flight.
* Somebody overbooked the attitude.
* 2 hours late + 1 hour taxiing + 1.75 hour flight + however long waiting for a gate at the other end? = 4.75 hours minimum. You can drive from New York City To Portland, Maine in 5 hours.
* I know, I know – “B-b-but at least on the plane you get cramped seating, no food, and three hours before they turn on the air conditioner!”
* Must be their new slogan: “Delta is ready to take it outside when you are, buster.”
* Let this be a lesson – if you’re going to hurl insults, make them considerate and professional.
