COWBOY LASSOES BIKE THIEF
A rancher jumped on his horse and lassoed a man who was trying to steal a bicycle in the parking lot of an Oregon Walmart. 28-year-old Robert Borba was at the Eagle Point store getting dog food Friday when he heard a woman screaming that someone was trying to steal her bike. The rancher says he quickly got his horse out of its trailer, grabbed a rope, rode over and lassoed the man and bicycle. Officers arrived and found a lassoed man and bike on the ground in the parking lot. The bike was returned to the owner, who is presumably the local school marm. Police arrested Victorino Arellano-Sanchez, whom they described as a transient from the Seattle area, on a theft charge.
* He will be strung up at sundown.
* They didn’t even have a chance to round up a posse.
* Did they hold the guy in the shopping cart corral?
* It’s just another day at work for: Rodeo Squad!!!
* Somewhere the ghosts of a million cowboys are smiling.
* The rancher was there buying dog food? I bet the horse was thinking, “Hey, what about me?”
* You have to understand that taking someone’s bike in Oregon is just about the cruelest crime there is.
* That’s even worse than stealing their stash.
