COUPLE STEAL HEARSE, DUMP BODY BY THE SIDE OF THE ROAD

In College Station, Texas, two people were taken into custody Friday afternoon for stealing a hearse from a convenience store parking lot, and dumping the body by the side of the road. The hearse had been left unattended with the keys inside while the driver went into the store early Friday. The body that was in the back of the hearse was being delivered from the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office. It was strapped to the gurney and covered with a sheet.

* If you’re on the run from the law, you don’t want to be carrying any dead weight.
* And yeah, pick an inconspicuous vehicle, like a hearse.
* I think the key words here are “left unattended with the keys inside”.
* If the driver was thinking “Who in the world would steal a loaded hearse?”, I guess he found out.
