COUPLE NEEDED MOUNTAIN RESCUE ON SECOND DATE

A couple on only their second date needed rescue after getting into difficulty Saturday while mountain climbing in the UK’s Lake District. The pair had attempted to go up an area called Sharp Edge, but due to slippery conditions decided to turn back. While making their descent the man slipped and fell almost 200 feet onto a ledge, leaving the woman trapped. They called a Mountain Rescue Team, and a five-hour operation brought the couple to safety before the man, who was injured in his fall, was airlifted to a hospital. Despite the drama, a third date has been discussed.
* First, they’re going to review their insurance policies.
* He’s thinking, “She’s a keeper.” She’s thinking, “I should have just left him on the ledge and kept on going.”
* “Hey, wanna climb right here?”
“What’s it called?”
“Sharp Edge.”
“Sure! What could go wrong?”
* Sounds to me like the Lake District is poorly named.
* Maybe next time, instead of mountain climbing in the Lake District, they should try lake swimming in the Mountain District.
