CAR THEFT VICTIM ARRESTED

Forty-three-year-old Gail Solomon, of Bay Shore, New York, was arrested on child endangerment charges after leaving her 4-month-old niece inside a running car while she was inside a sandwich shop. The car was stolen with the child in it, but was found unharmed in the still-running abandoned car. Police say Solomon stopped at a Subway around 8 a.m. Monday morning. She looked out the window and saw a man jump in the car and drive away. Police say the carjacker picked up two men, then dumped the car several blocks away with the baby inside. The carjacker hasn’t been caught. Solomon was released without bail.
* By all means, if you can’t find the criminal, arrest the victim.
* This means America is now at a point where it’s a crime to not believe you will be a victim.
* But really… Subway at 8 AM?
* I hate these incomplete stories – what kind of sandwich was it?
* You don’t leave a 4-month old alone in a running car. What if the baby steals the car?
* At least it wasn’t summer. That’s the only thing this woman did right.
* If you think the cops were tough on her wait till her niece’s parents find out.
* PHONE TOPIC: Should this woman have been arrested?
