BUBBLE WRAP SHUTS DOWN THREE SCHOOLS

Someone was popping bubble wrap on the property of Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, Pennsylvania on Monday, and the sound was mistaken for gunfire. A student heard what she thought were shots being fired and called 911. The military academy as well as nearby Eastern University and Cabrini University were locked down for a short time. Authorities found no weapons or evidence of any weapon being fired, just someone popping bubble wrap.

* In case you didn’t realize that the wacky news world is interconnected, bubble wrap also appears in another story today.
* Yes, bubble wrap has been nominated for the Toy Hall of Fame. No, really.
* Congratulations, and I hope you can lock down a win when they’re announced in November.
* Hey, that sounds familiar: You’re facing a big vote in November and these negative stories keep popping up.
