BRIDE DEMANDS MORE WEDDING GIFT MONEY
A wedding guest in Australia says she was ridiculed by the bride for not giving enough of a gift. The woman claims in an online forum that she went to a friend’s wedding a few weeks ago. There were lots of guests, fireworks, and the couple left on a yacht to go on their honeymoon. Three weeks later, the bride called her friend and told her the cost of having her and her husband at the wedding was “far more than the miserly gift we gave her” and demanded “another $300 cash.” The guest said that she and her husband gifted the newlyweds $200 in cash and a $75 “designer candle” that the bride had specifically requested – but the bride didn’t consider that a real gift because she ‘can’t do anything with it.’ The bride continued to nag her for five minutes until the woman hung up on her.
* Hey, those yacht trips don’t pay for themselves, honey.
* Didn’t this happen on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”?
* This is the bride’s fault for not marrying a richer guy.
* I can think of something the bride can do with that candle.
