BIGGEST MCDONALD'S CLOSES TO BUILD A BIGGER BIGGEST MCDONALD'S

The biggest McDonald’s in the world closed down last week… to make room for an even larger McDonald’s. The 12,000-square-foot location in Orlando, Florida closed in order to open a 19,000-square-foot version of the fast-food restaurant next door. The old restaurant was famously shaped like a box of french fries and featured a PlayPlace, an arcade, animatronic robots, bowling and more. McDonald’s hasn’t given word yet on what attractions the new location will offer, but there will be self-serve kiosks, allowing customers to order their own food.
* Wow. Self-serve kiosks. Go crazy, McDonald’s.
* 19,000 square feet is big enough to include an Outback Steakhouse, so you can eat a decent meal while the kids are off in McDonaldland.
* How about an oil-change service while you’re in the drive-thru?
* You’ve spent half a year’s income to bring the family to the Orlando theme parks, and you end up spending 8 hours at a McDonald’s.
* Somebody forgot to show this store the latest McDonald’s sales numbers.
* I knew McDonald’s would have to respond to the Burger King hot dog idea somehow.
* Customers can order their own food? Wow, you mean it won’t be ordered for us?
* What about a centralized planning committee that orders for everybody?
* Wait, there’s more: Customers who request it, will be given extra ketchup. Intriguing, no?
