BAR FIGHT OVER FART

A fight broke out between two couples last week at Sloppy Joe’s, a famous bar in Key West, Florida. The fight was over a fart, according to one man who went to the hospital for a dislocated shoulder after the scrap. Richard McBride, 53, and his girlfriend Sandra Stoner, 55, were drinking with friends at the bar when Stoner traded words with an unidentified woman and confronted her in “an aggressive manner,” police said. An unidentified man tried to pull the woman away while others stepped into the dispute. There was shoving, hitting and tackling. The unidentified couple took off and police said they couldn’t find them.

* For someone named Stoner, Sandra wasn’t very mellow.
* There was shoving, hitting and tackling? That’s more than the Miami Dolphins did this year.
* We need a new phrase to replace “He who smelt it, dealt it.”
* How about, “The person who lets it rip, could wind up with a busted lip.”
* It was a bad fart, and I think “Sloppy Joe’s” has to take some responsibility here.
* Now the bar is known among the locals as “Stinky Joe’s.”
* Ah, the good ol’ days, when clouds of tobacco smoke would cover the smell of bar farts.
* It turns out the one man only dislocated his shoulder trying to cover his nose.
