AUDIO: WOMEN SACRIFICE THEIR CAR TO A DRUNK DRIVER
Three women in Florida sacrificed their own safety – and their car – when they made an alleged DUI driver crash into the vehicle in which they were traveling. The women – Suzzette Williams, Angelina Powell and a third unidentified woman – spotted a motorist driving erratically near North Fort Myers on Sunday afternoon. Brittany Sharp’s white Chevrolet Cavalier weaved between lanes, hit curbs, drove in the grassy median and on the sidewalk, and then went up a ramp to Interstate 75. One of Williams’ passengers remained in telephone contact with the police, while the other broadcast the pursuit over Facebook Live. Williams then overtook Sharp, pulled her Nissan Sentra in front of the Chevy and slammed on the brakes. It forced Sharp to rear-end Williams’ car, but brought her to a complete stop. Troopers arrived on the scene and arrested Sharp, 25, for driving under the influence and other charges.
* I don’t know if Clint Eastwood will make a movie about them, but they are to be commended.
* Especially for having the wits to throw their own safety aside and broadcast the whole thing on Facebook Live.
* This could be a really over-the-edge episode of “What Would You Do?”
* I thought you’re always supposed to force the other car over a cliff? Then it falls, hits, and explodes into a fireball.
* Good luck explaining this to the insurance company.
