AUDIO: LANDING PLANE HITS ALLIGATOR ON RUNWAY
A pilot at Orlando Executive Airport hit an 11-foot alligator that was crossing the runway. Local pilot Brad Pierce was flying a Piper PA-31 Navajo when the gator jumped up and struck the wing during his landing. The gator was killed instantly and the aircraft sustained damage to the wing.
* The ball’s in your court, Captain Sully.
* So in Florida, alligators actively try to catch airplanes. Interesting.
* Now the gators want to escalate to rocket propelled grenades, but their claws can’t pull the triggers.
* If they team up with Florida rhesus monkeys, things could get dicey.
* The story says it was a gator, but this sounds like a croc.
CLIP: Arnold Schwarzenegger says (to an alligator, in fact) “You’re luggage.”
