AUDIO: JOGGER RAGE – BICYCLE THROWN OFF MOUNTAIN
A mountain biker was attacked by an angry jogger on the popular North Table Mountain Loop trail in Golden, Colorado. “Andrew” says he was biking the Loop trail when he repeatedly rang his bell and alerted the trail runner he was trying to pass, but the runner couldn’t hear him. A cyclist coming in the opposite direction finally got the runners attention, and Andrew passed, shaking his head in a scornful manner. A few minutes later the runner and Andrew met again further up the trail. The runner says, ‘I remember you,’ grabbed Andrew by the throat, shoved him over a boulder, stomped on his back and tossed Andrew’s bike 50 feet down the mountain off the trail. Says Andrew: “I’ve replayed the incident over in my head multiple times thinking what I could have done differently.”
* Taken up swimming, for one.
* Concealed carry, for two.
* Good to see that marijuana legalization mellowing out the good people of Colorado.
* The bike sailed 50 feet through the air? You know it’s bad when your bicycle has an aviation accident.
* I think the key here is that the bicyclist passed the jogger while shaking his head in a scornful manner. These days – that’s enough.
* My guess is that the jogger did not appreciate the scorn.
* Hey, we’ve all been there. Who hasn’t seen a bicyclist out running red lights while they look down on the rest of us?
