AUDIO: CIRCUS ACROBATS MARRIED ON HIGH-WIRE
Two circus acrobats tied the knot on a tightrope during a performance in Houston, Texas, on Tuesday. Mustafa Danguir and Anna Lebedeva got married 30 feet off the ground during a Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey show at NRG Stadium. The groom, in a white tuxedo coat, arrived on a camel and climbed a side ladder to reach the tightrope.
The veiled bride rode a horse. She shed her high heels and adjusted her flowing gown to also climb a ladder to the wire. The ringmaster presided as the pair met in the middle of the wire, then exchanged vows and rings. The smiling newlyweds walked back to the platform at the end of the wire, descended and waved to the cheering crowd as they walked away arm-in-arm.
* So many metaphors, so little time.
* Dude – try lion taming. It’s a lot safer than marriage.
* Even though they took the plunge, but it’s lucky neither of them took the plunge.
* As acrobats, they remember the time the first flipped over each other.
* Marriage is pretty much a high-wire act any way you look at it.
* These two must have the perfect work/life balance.
* Instead of a ring-bearer, they had a three ring-bearer.
* Not even the Wallendas tried anything this crazy on a tightrope.
* Marriage isn’t a tightrope. It’s more like a roller coaster.
* And you think walking down the aisle was scary.
* You know it’s dangerous when your wedding vows are not to fall and kill yourself.
* Then later 19 clowns popped out of the wedding cake.
* This is nothing. You know that huge trampoline they keep below the tightrope? That’s where they celebrated their wedding night.
