AUDIO: BURGLAR BRIBES COP
Police in Matthews Beach, Washington, got a call from a woman who’s house was being burgled on Monday night. They arrived just as the burglar ran out of the house. They caught him holding a pillowcase full of items stolen from the home. As they put the unidentified 21-year-old man into the back of the squad car, he began talking: “I feel really stupid for doing it now,” and, “That’s my mom’s car. Can I call her to move it?” and then he tries to bribe the officer, asking, “What do I got to do for you to let me go? Like, can I give you cash?” The officer reminded the suspect that he was being recorded on audio and video.
* Mommy is not going to be happy.
* On the bright side, she now has a spare room in the basement to rent out.
* “No, really, officer. I’ll give you an extra special deal ’cause I like you.”
* “Just think about it. That’s all I’m sayin’.”
* Oh well, I guess it was worth a try.
* He grabbed a pillowcase? Too bad they didn’t know a guest was coming or they could have gotten out the good linen.
