AUDIO: BEER BREWED FROM TOILET WATER
An Oregon brewing company is making beer out of recycled sewage water. Clean Water Services is a company that makes drinkable water out of sewage using a “high purity” recycling system to turn urine, poo and waste water into clear, drinkable stuff. This week, local health authorities cleared the firm to send their recycled sewage water to local home brewers Oregon Brew Crew to make into beer. The idea is to show off just how clean and tasty their water is. The resulting brew will be served at company events.
* Because no-one would ever buy it at a store.
* I suppose the beer bottles will be brown glass so you can’t see what’s in there.
* Or maybe it’ll just LOOK like brown glass.
* The beer will come in two varieties: Smooth and chunky.
* What about the old phrase, “Perception is reality”? If you know it used to be piss, then it is piss.
* This should be really good for Oregon’s industry. Namely, its marijuana industry.
* Hey, there’s an idea: If this Clean Water Service is so good, maybe it can help with bong water.
* So does it work in reverse? Do you drink the piss and then urinate out clear water?
* We already have a clean water service. They’re called clouds.
