ASLEEP-AT-THE-WHEEL SUSPECT DRIVES INTO POLICE STATION PARKING LOT

Police in New Port Richey, Florida, say 56-year-old Lisa Myers was driving north on Route 19, and they noticed she was falling asleep at the wheel. When a deputy tried to pull her over, Myers tried to run the cop over, and almost hit a patrol car during the low speed chase that followed. Myers ended up pulling off the road – right into a police station parking lot, driving over a curb and onto the lawn. Then she backed up and hit a cruiser. An investigation is ongoing to determine if she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
* This is really inexcusable considering you can’t drive 500 feet without passing a Starbucks.
* Well, let this be her wake-up call.
* This is not the right week to pull a stunt like this.
* Correction: It’s never the right week, but after Philadelphia it’s REALLY the wrong week.
* Once again, it’s time to play, “What was she on?”
* I’m going with a traditional favorite in this game: Ambien.
* Oh, and I’ll throw in a few drinks as a chaser.
