AUDIO: VIOLIN PLAYING DRIVES BEARS AWAY FROM HOME
A Nevada couple who spotted a family of black bears trying to break into a vacant house warded the animals off by having their nephew play for them on the violin. A video posted to YouTube shows the mother bear and her three cubs trying to find a way into a garage in Incline Village, on the shore of Lake Tahoe, when the filmer’s nephew, Mike Perroud, safely inside a car, starts to play the violin for them. The music seems to have a calming influence and they leave the area.

* 15 years of lessons pay off in one shining moment.
* Does a bear scherzo in the woods?
* It’s like “America’s Got Talent” meets “Man vs. Wild”.
* Violin is fine for bears, but an accordion drives everything away.
* Maybe bears are more into emo.
