PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT COVERED IN BEAR SPRAY
Several children in Whitefish, Montana, went to the hospital Thursday after playground equipment at a local park was apparently covered in bear repellent spray. Officials say it appears that playground equipment and bathrooms at the park were sprayed with bear spray, causing skin and eye irritation to the kids. The park was shut down and city Parks and Recreation staff power-washed the equipment.
* The bears are thinking, “Great – now’s our chance!”
* Do bears really like monkeybars and see-saws?
* Now the bears are just going to congregate over on the basketball court.
* Parks and Recreation? I don’t remember this episode.
* Finally some kids want to go outside and get some exercise, and THIS happens.
* I don’t know about Montana, but in Idaho you don’t put bear spray on the playground equipment. You give the kids rifles and tell them to keep watch.
