BODY ON A GURNEY FALLS OUT OF BACK OF VAN
In Olympia, Washington, a gurney that was occupied by a deceased person fell from the back of a coroner’s van into traffic. The van was heading back to the county coroner’s office Monday after responding to a home death. Two gurneys actually fell out of the van at the intersection of Martin Way East and Phoenix Street Southeast. The gurney holding the deceased person remained in the intersection, while the second gurney rolled down the street and was found in a parking lot. Officers rerouted traffic while the gurneys were reloaded into the van. Officials say there was no trauma to the body and the family was notified.
* I think I’ve seen this movie.
* One last joyride.
* Maybe he was trying to get out of the autopsy?
* There was no trauma to the body, but some of the motorists were creeped out.
* That’s what happens when you accelerate too fast from a dead stop.
