SO FAR, 55 DEMOCRATS SITTING OUT INAUGURATION

Upwards of 55 congressional Democrats have announced they won’t attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration. Many are doing so in support of Georgia Representative John Lewis, the Civil Rights icon who said that he would boycott the inauguration because he doesn’t think Trump’s presidency is legitimate. But they’re citing plenty of other reasons, including Trump’s insults against women and minorities, his attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, and the reports of Russian hacking in attempts to sway the election in his favor.
* Also, they don’t want to miss The Chew.
* Democrats say they don’t like Donald Trump’s brand of division. I guess they prefer their own brand of division.
* Are any of them claiming Trump was born in Kenya?
* Meanwhile, 63 congressional Republicans want to go back in time and un-attend Bill Clinton’s inauguration.
* Gee, it’s not like members of Congress to avoid doing things they don’t like.
* See, Trump is creating more jobs: seat fillers.
* I love it when people announce things as if we’re waiting on the edge of our seats to see what they’re going to do.
* Meanwhile, the country’s response to the missing 55 Congressmen is one big yawn.
* Anyway, more donuts for everybody else!
* Hell, Meryl Streep put up a bigger fight than these guys.
* I’ve changed my mind on one thing: I thought nothing could be as weird and crazy as the campaign. Now I see it was only the beginning.
* Why not take the fake news route and report that in the intelligence community’s best assessment, they all attended anyway.
