GUY TRIES TO BREAK INTO A STORE THAT SELLS SECURITY CAMERAS

In Deerfield Beach, Florida, a man attempted to break into a security camera shop. Despite a large sign that read, “Warning: audio and video surveillance on duty at all times”, the would-be robber tried to break into Spy Spot Investigations by smashing its door with a rock, but he failed. Then he tried kicking in the door, but that failed, too, so he walked away. Not surprisingly, his attempt was caught on not just one but several security cameras. Police are circulating the man’s image to get his identity. Said store manager Evan Tannenbaum, “This is probably the last place you would want to try to burglarize. We got a whole bunch of surveillance cameras. We’ve got hidden cameras, we also do GPS tracking devices, and audio recording devices.”
* And THAT is how you turn a news story into a free commercial.
* Although I think the real hero here wasn’t the cameras, it was that really sturdy front door.
* The suspect is considered dangerous and probably illiterate.
* Look, give the guy a break. It’s not easy to stand out doing dumb criminal stuff in Florida.
* Usually you have to get at least one alligator involved to make the wacky news.
* Or – if there are no gators around – you can substitute a Burmese python.
* This reminds me of one of my favorites: When the burglar broke into a karate school while a class was in session.
* That didn’t end well either.
