EMERGENCY ROOM PATIENT, TIRED OF WAITING, PULLS GUN

The 21-year-old patient in the North Cypress Medical Center emergency room near Houston, Texas, got tired of waiting to see a doctor. The man had come in for an X-ray. A nurse and a doctor evaluated him. When he was asked to take off his clothes for examination, he refused and left the room. A hospital courtesy officer followed him. Then the man began to run. He went to the ambulance bay of the emergency room, pulled out a gun and fired a shot. Afterward, he ran through the lobby and out of the facility. That’s where deputies confronted him and fired their weapons, hitting the man four or five times in the legs and torso. The man was admitted back into to the hospital in critical condition but is expected to recover.
* They shot him four or five times. Y’know – give or take.
* That’s medical care today. You go in for an X-ray, and come out with lead poisoning.
* It doesn’t help to take a gun to a hospital. You’re going to get robbed no matter what.
* At least he already had the paperwork filled out from the first time.
* 4 or 5 gunshot wounds? That’s one way to get some medical care in a hurry.
* When he’s patched up I’d take him to the psyche ward.
* “Oh really, you’re saying this man’s behavior was a little crazy? Good call.”
* I’d swing him by the hospital pharmacy too.
