2-YEAR-OLD PUSHES FALLEN DRESSER OFF OF TWIN BROTHER

The internet is abuzz with the video of a 2-year-old boy pushing a fallen dresser off of his twin brother. It happened in Orem, Utah. Dad Ricky Shoff posted a video of the incident, captured from a bedroom security camera. The video shows the two boys pulling out the middle drawers of the 42-inch tall dresser and climbing into the drawers. The weight of the boys (* actually, it was Bowdy’s weight which caused the dresser to tip) made the dresser fall forward, crashing onto little Brock, although a large pink rubber ball appears to keep the dresser from totally smushing the boy. Bowdy then walks around the dresser, trying to figure out what happened. At one point, Bowdy crawls on top of the fallen dresser, with his brother underneath. Eventually, as Brock starts wiggling his way out, Bowdy pushes the dresser, and his brother is free. He worked to figure out a way to help him out. The accident could have been a lot worse. Mr. Shoff and his wife were upstairs and didn’t hear the dresser fall or any crying. He said his wife came back downstairs a few minutes later and saw the dresser on the floor, but the boys were fine, so they didn’t realize what had happened until they saw the video. The moral of the story: if you have kids, screw the furniture to the wall.

* Screw the furniture to the wall, or buy it from IKEA. That stuff is like balsa wood.
* And thus Bowdy has something to lord over his brother the rest of their lives.
* “He worked to figure out a way to help him out”? Sure, after the part where he climbs on top of the dresser while his brother’s under it.
* How about “He performed random actions until accidentally pushing the dresser away”?
* Nice work with the camera. Get them used to the surveillance state early.
* 2-year-old twin boys? So there must be an incident like this once or twice a week.
* A week? Make that once or twice a day.
* So the parents live on a separate floor from the kids and you can see why.
* There’s more good news: As of this morning the house was still standing.
