BURGER KING UNWANTED GIFT SWAP
Burger King in Miami, Florida, is offering local residents the opportunity to swap their unwanted Christmas gifts for a Whopper. Burger King senior vice president of global brand management, Fernando Machado, says: “The Whopper Exchange will offer our guests the chance to get a flame-grilled gift in exchange for an unwanted one, because this holiday season, we want everyone to receive something they will love.” Gifts should be taken to the 910 Arthur Godfrey Boulevard, Miami Beach location on Dec. 26. All of the gifts collected will be donated to charity. The gifts should be unused and “exchanges will be limited to a certain number of gifts.”
* Do they take McDonald’s gift cards?
* The Whopper Exchange? That’s okay, but if you want it to sound important call it the Whopper Initiative.
* They should also add a swap called Ties for Fries.
* Notice you have to buy your own drink, ’cause that’s the item with the biggest mark-up.
* Before you show them your gift, make sure the person who gave it to you isn’t in the Burger King.
* How about a place that takes your gifts in exchange for driving your relatives to the airport?
* For most of the country, it’s a long drive to Miami, but I guess it depends on how crappy the gift is.
* They’re just trying it in Miami first to see if they lose their shirts.
* See how these stories work? Now I want a burger.
* Look, we gain enough weight during the holidays without trading our gifts for more food.
