WOMAN RUN OVER BY CHRISTMAS PARADE FLOAT

A woman is recovering after being run over by a float in the Pensacola, Florida, Christmas parade. 59-year-old Miriam Mimms stepped into the street to pick something up along the parade route Saturday evening when she was apparently bumped from behind and fell into the path of a float. A safety person walking with the float saw Mimms fall and pulled her head away from the path of the float’s tire. The float ran over her left torso. The parade was delayed for about 30 minutes. Mimms was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
* Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer … Float.
* “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like a Lawsuit.”
* You can understand how this could happen. I mean those floats are going at least 2 miles-an-hour.
* So the parade rained on her parade.
* The safety person kept her head from being run over? What do you tip for that?
* She was probably bumped from behind by an Angry Birds parade balloon.
* I have an idea for what one of her New Year’s resolutions could be.
* Wow, Florida can’t even get a Christmas parade right.
* Here come the float warning labels.
* Okay, that’s it. I’ve heard enough. Christmas is canceled this year.
* This actually sounds like one of those corny Christmas movies on Hallmark with Miriam “falling” in love with the safety person.
