FAKE KIDNAPPING NEVER WORKS: FIAT HEIR WAS ON BENDER WITH TRANSGENDER PROSTITUTE
The grandson of Fiat founder Gianni Agnelli was busted for allegedly faking his own kidnapping following a two-day bender with a transgender escort at a Manhattan housing project. Lapo Elkann, 39, apparently ran up an expensive tab while partying on cocaine, pot and alcohol supplied by the escort. He then tried to pay it off by calling a family rep and claiming he’d been kidnapped. Elkann allegedly said he needed $10,000 in cash to secure his freedom from the housing project across from Bellevue Hospital. The family rep called police, and the escort was busted and charged with grand larceny by extortion. But a subsequent investigation revealed that Elkann had used his own cellphone to call for cash and that he could have left the apartment at any time. The charge against the escort was dropped and detectives charged Elkann on Sunday with falsely reporting an incident.
* Not again!
* Wasn’t this a story arc on “Better Call Saul”?
* Really, if we’re going to get uptight every time someone’s with a transgender prostitute, we’re all in trouble.
* Besides, if your grandfather is the founder of Fiat and you can’t party a little, then what’s the point?
* Can we get past the “escort” label? This was a drug-dealing whore.
* By the way, if the escort supplied the drugs how do you drop charges against her/him or them?
* I think the lesson here is never to try to brainstorm your way out of a problem when you’re high on drugs.
* Isn’t Lapo Elkann the villain in the new “Star Wars: Rogue One” movie?
