THE SPELLING BEE BANDIT

The FBI is offering a reward for information leading to the capture of a man known as “The Spelling Bee Bandit” wanted in a string of thefts. The man targeted four banks in the Boston area and in each instance entered the bank wearing sunglasses before writing the word “robery” on a withdrawal slip and handing it to the teller. He spelled the word ‘robbery’ with only one ‘b’. Witnesses described the robber as a thin white man in his late 30s to early 40s and speaking with a “local accent.”
* He can’t spell. I assumed the Boston accent was a given.
* If they catch him, the judge will certainly send him to prison…for a spell.
