THE GUMBALL BANDIT

Police in Winter Haven, Florida are looking for a man who stole a gumball machine from a local restaurant. The thief told employees of the Sakura restaurant he had to take the machine outside to be serviced. He hauled it out, stuck it in his vehicle and drove away. The racing-themed gumball machine was black with red stripes and, along with its contents, was valued at about $800.
* A gum machine theft? That makes no cents.
