TEACHER WRITES "FOCUS" ON STUDENT'S FOREHEAD

A Virginia Beach, Virginia, math teacher has been accused of assault for writing on the forehead of an eighth grader in his class. 46-year-old Daniel Board grabbed the back of the boy’s head, wrote the word “focus” on his forehead and refused to let the boy wipe the word off his face until he completed his work. The student was not injured. The Landstown Middle School teacher was reportedly upset because the student wasn’t paying attention in class on September 16. A district spokeswoman says Board resigned on Thursday, a week after he was placed on unpaid administrative leave.
* Sometimes you can tell when you’ve burned out on your job.
* Now the teacher can focus – on some other profession.
* Is the kid some kind of mutant with eyeballs that can see what’s on his forehead?
* At least write it backwards so the kid can learn to spell it when he looks in the mirror.
* Hey, not paying attention in class is a rite of passage.
* If my teachers did that, I’d have a short novel written on my forehead.
* Besides the kid was focused. He was focused on daydreaming.
