CAT CATCHES BURGLARS

An Olympia, Washington, couple said their normally “fat and lazy” cat helped foil a burglary at their home. Barb Gansberg was home alone and getting ready for work when their cat of 10 years, Strider, snuck into the couple’s bedroom. This has always been a no-no, and so Gansberg could tell by Strider’s behavior that something was wrong. She exited the bedroom and came face to face with a pair of burglars, one of whom was holding her purse. She yelled, and the burglars ran off. Police said two men, ages 18 and 19, were arrested about a block away from the home. Husband Kerry Gansburg said his perception of his cat has changed – at least for the moment. “He’s a hero for the time being,” he said. “But all good things must come to an end, unfortunately.”
* Well … they WERE cat burglars.
* They ran off because, like Strider, they’re also pussies.
* You know this is rare, because there’s no such thing as “Beware of Cat” signs.
* Wow, a hero for the time being? Where’s the gratitude?
* It sounds like the husband has issues saying thank-you.
* See if the cat moves a muscle the next time this happens.
* Although, you know darn well the cat didn’t go into the bedroom to warn the woman – he’s just scared of strangers.
* Can you call a cat “fat and lazy”? How do the PC police feel about it?
* It sounds like Strider mainly just strides over to his food dish.
