WOMAN WINS $1,000, THEN $1,000,000 IN LOTTERY
A Strafford, Missouri, woman who won $1,000 from a lottery scratch-off game was back at lottery headquarters two weeks later to collect a $1 million prize. Doris Danielson, a great-grandmother of five, told Missouri Lottery officials she was shopping with her daughter about two weeks after winning $1,000 on a Golden Ticket Scratchers game when she decided to pick up another ticket for the same game at a Kum & Go store. Danielson was still in the store’s parking lot September 3rd when she discovered she had won the $1 million prize. “Oh, it was so exciting! I about had a heart attack,” Danielson said. “My daughter had to bring the ticket back into the store to make sure it wasn’t a joke.” Danielson said she plans to share both the $1,000 and $1 million jackpots with her three children.
* Great-grandmother … or GREATEST grandmother?
* I don’t care how nice she is – I automatically sort of hate her.
* Oh, come on. You’re telling me you enjoy reading about other people hitting it big?
* “Oh, it was so exciting! I about had a heart attack.” Yeah, I guess a heart attack would be exciting. For the first two or three seconds.
* At least everybody else in Missouri knows there’s no point buying any Golden Ticket Scratchers now. It’ll be years before one of them hits again.
* Of course, as Austin Powers found out, 1 million dollars isn’t as much as it used to be.
* She won a miraculous amount of money and that’s just the one grand.
* Then she won a million after that.
* Anybody else uncomfortable about a store named “Kum & Go”?
* Is it a convenience store or a cathouse?
* Scratch this.
