WOMAN TRIES TO REMOVE BODY FROM CASKET
Columbia, Tennessee, police say 36-year-old Cynthia Ann Frierson walked into a funeral and tried to remove the body from the casket. A police report says Frierson entered a service, walked up to the casket and began grabbing at the body inside. Several people then removed her from the building. On her way out, she hit two cars with her truck. Police say Frierson smelled of alcohol and had a small glass pipe with her. Frierson denies any wrongdoing, saying that she knew the deceased and just went up and touched the body. She was charged with disrupting a funeral, public intoxication, unlawful drug paraphernalia and driving on a revoked/suspended license.
* Hey – no souvenirs!
* It’s Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
* Some people really have trouble letting go.
* Folks, please, don’t do this at a funeral. Wait ’til it’s over and everybody has gone home.
* I just wonder what she was planning to do after she grabbed the body?
* Maybe we’re better off not knowing.
* “Hey! He’s stiff, but not in a good way!”
* This is the kind of behavior that gives drugs a bad name.
