FLORIDA MAN HIT BY DART ON THE WAY TO WORK

A Florida man in Pompano Beach said he was walking to the bus stop on his way to work when he was hit in the back by a dart. Lusthene Joseph, 58, felt something strike his back, but assumed it was a rock or debris from a car. When he realized what it was, he ran and hid while he called a relative and authorities in case the person who shot the dart came back to hit him again. Deputies arrived to find Joseph with the dart lodged in his back. Deputies said the weapon was most likely a crossbow or bow and arrow, but no witnesses or suspects were found. Joseph was taken to a hospital with an injury that wasn’t life-threatening. “The doctors told me I was very lucky it didn’t hit any organs,” he said. “Life is a struggle, no matter where you are. Things can happen. People have evil in them and the only protection, truly, is from God.”
* Or sometimes a suit of armor would work.
* And so, from tragedy, a life lesson.
* Only in this case, the lesson is that God seems to be a darts fan.
* Yet another reason not to take the bus.
* Where did the guy work? Target?
* I don’t know if this Lusthene Joseph guy looks like an antlered deer, but around Pompano Beach, Antlered Deer Bow or Crossbow Hunting Season ended on Sunday. (True!)
* Just be glad they didn’t dip the dart in poison.
* I’d still rather have this than the UPS guy a few days ago that got hit by the arrow.
* The damn thing went right through his arm and stuck him in the chest.
* Of course we can’t put that one on Florida – that one happened in Alabama.
* Don’t you hate it when doctors tell you, you were very lucky? No, lucky would be the dart missing altogether.
