AUDIO: RODEO CLOWN FIRED FOR GENDER IDENTITY COMMENTS
A rodeo clown at Michigan’s Calhoun County Fair was fired when he made jokes about gender identity. Rockin’ Robbie Hodges, an independent contractor for Lost Nations Rodeo Company, told the crowd, “You’re either a boy or a girl, y’all understand. If you’re confused then you need help, okay? Everybody in here who’s really sure they’re a boy raise your hand. If you can tinkle on a fire you go to the boys room, if you can’t, you go to the girls room, right?” The crowd seemed to laugh at Hodge’s comments, but fair organizers did not. Megan Harvey, the Executive Director for the Calhoun County Fair, said, “We do not put on a platform for that to happen here.” Lost Nations Rodeo Company says Hodges was fired after the comments were brought to their attention that night. They also formally apologized for the comments, saying: “Lost Nations Rodeo was unaware that those comments would be made and were off script. Hodges is a well-decorated entertainer, and while we appreciate his services, we do not share the same views or opinions. We sincerely apologize again to all of our fans and look forward to entertaining you in the future.”
* And so, the rodeo clown was gelded.

* I don’t care where you stand on the issue of transgendering – boys should not tinkle on fires. Get to a safe area and call 9-1-1.
* Interesting that this happened at Lost Nations Rodeo.
* Don’t worry. A rodeo clown should be able to find work on this presidential campaign.
* Rockin’ Robbie Hodges is now Walkin’ Robbie Hedges – as in walkin’ to the unemployment line.
* I thought rodeo clowns were supposed to run around distracting the bulls after the rider gets off.
* If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times: standup isn’t for everybody.
