SHIPMENT OF ILLEGAL BOLOGNA STOPPED AT MEXICAN BORDER

More than 200 pounds of contraband bologna was seized at U.S.-Mexico border last week. A woman was driving into the U.S. through the Paso Del Norte crossing when she told U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents that she wasn’t carrying fruits, vegetables, meat or other contraband, but then she told the agents that she was carrying sausage. (* Sausage isn’t meat.) Officials found 227 pounds of Mexican bologna stashed under floor mats in the vehicle. Bologna is considered contraband because of its potential to introduce foreign diseases into the U.S. pork industry. Officials said the woman was fined $1,000.
* Wurst smuggler ever.
* Do we seriously have a bologna shortage? And if so, is 200 pounds really going to help?
* I just don’t understand the sophisticated world of high-end crime.
* “Hey, how do you like this bologna?” “It’s okay, but it tastes a little floor-matty.”
* Officials say these kinds of arrests happen almost deli.
* Usually the border patrol finds people smuggling hammibus and amphetimeats.
