MAN CAUSES ACCIDENT ON PURPOSE TO PROVE INTERSECTION IS UNSAFE
A Clermont, Florida, man intentionally caused a crash to highlight what he says is an unsafe intersection. Police say 61-year-old Bruce Homer (* D’oh! – see clip below) was frustrated that law enforcement wouldn’t crack down on people running through a stop sign at the intersection. Last Sunday afternoon, police say Homer deliberately pulled out in front of an SUV going through the intersection. The driver of the SUV said Homer approached him after the crash, telling him he’d purposely run the stop sign because law enforcement “won’t do anything until someone dies.” Homer was charged with aggravated battery and reckless driving.

* “Firemen never respond fast enough in this neighborhood. That’s why I set my house on fire.”
* What an idiot! Of all the cars to crash into, he picks an SUV?
* Should have waited for one of those miniature Smart cars.
* At least the intersection was safer while the tow trucks were busy cleaning up.
