GUNFIRE OVER UNTIED SHOELACE IN WALMART

In Augusta, Maine, 31-year-old Robert Potter was shopping at Walmart when another man told him one of his boots was untied. An argument ensued (* as they commonly do over this kind of harassment). Potter pulled a gun on the man, which went off as the man tried to disarm Potter. No one was hit. However, a woman who apparently witnessed the fight ran to the parking lot, where she suffered a medical emergency and died. Potter was arrested.
* Should have worn loafers.
* A witness died? Okay, that’s what I call burying the lead.
* It was like a weird variation of “Shop ’til you drop”.
* Ironically, when Potter went to jail, they took away his shoelaces.
* Folks, when you’re trying to help out a total stranger, try to keep the four-letter words to a minimum.
* Pfff – like Walmart has a fashion minimum of requiring your shoelaces to be tied. If only.
