BUS DRIVER SUSPENDED FOR READING NEWSPAPER WHILE DRIVING
A Maryland bus driver has been suspended after a viral video showed him apparently reading a newspaper while driving with passengers. It happend on board the F6 bus about 2 p.m. last Friday in College Park. The University of Maryland student who took the video said the driver nearly missed a stop because he was distracted by the paper. Officials identified the driver and placed him on paid leave while an investigation is conducted.
* At least nobody can accuse him of texting while driving.
* Worse, he kept calling out, “What’s a five letter word for ‘Greek philosopher’?”
* Somebody who still gets a newspaper, and THIS has to happen.
* Everybody’s a snitch with a camera. It’s getting so you can’t even leave the house.
* You know, there’s used to be this thing you could use while driving instead of reading the newspaper. I think it was called … ‘radio’.
