9-YEAR-OLD THREATENED WITH SEXUAL HARASSMENT FOR WRITING LOVE NOTE

A 9-year-old Florida boy wrote a love note that landed him in the principal’s office, and now there’s talk of sexual harassment charges, his mother says. The note reads, in part, “I like you. I like your hair because it is not sloppy. I like your eyes because they sparkle like diamonds.” The boy and his mother – unnamed but living in the Tampa area, were told by the principal that the school would file sexual harassment charges if he wrote another note. School district officials say the child wrote more than one unwanted love note. They added that passing notes in class is disruptive. But the boy’s mother fired back, “What little kid doesn’t write love notes?”
